Equine Facilitated Learning:
Cornerstones offers several stand-alone, multi-session equine facilitated learning (EFL) programs, as well as fully customized single and multi-session programs to meet your specific personal development and learning goals.
We also offer unique, engaging and fun single session EFL programs designed to provide a relaxing and restorative experience!
NEW!! Introductory Horsemanship
Learn to safely, effectively and ethically interact with horses. You will learn the basics of equine behavior, grooming, leading, feeding and daily care. A great start if horses are in your future!
Our EFL Programs
Stand Alone 4, 8 & 12 Session Programs
Our stand alone program packages offer experiential learning with horses that emphasizes core skill development in areas such as communication skills, safe choices, boundary setting, self-regulation, confidence building and more.
Stand Alone Programs are available in group or individual format.
Custom EFL Programs
Custom EFL programs begin with a needs assessment to identify specific learning and development goals that you identify for yourself or for your clients. A focused curriculum is then created with clear and measurable goals for your approval prior to beginning EFL sessions. Custom programs can include single session programs (e.g. team building) or multi-session programs, depending on your needs, preferences and budget.
Custom programs are available in group or individual format.
Specialty Single Session Programs
We are excited to offer specialty single session programs that provide unforgettable experiences!
"Exhale with the Herd" is a 1 1/2 hour program that will support you to let go of what is no longer serving you and guide you to align yourself with positive growth.
"Paint Night with the Herd" offers a unique 2 hour experience in getting to know and interact with the horses before creating your own piece of artwork with assistance from an equine partner. Make this your next "girls' night out"! Refreshments provided.
"Date Night with the Herd" offers a new way to connect with your partner and enrich your relationship. Close out this 2 hour evening session with a bonfire in view of the herd along with a hot drink!
"Herdmates" Youth Introductory Horsemanship Program
Horsemanship includes the art, skills and knowledge required to interact with horses - safely, effectively and ethically. It involves handling, training and caring for horses while fostering a strong partnership, built on trust and mutual respect between horse and human. This 6 week program will introduce youth 12-16, to the basics of understanding horse behavior, safe handling, grooming and leading. We include fun activities as well such as making paintings with our equine partners!
Note: this is a non-riding program.
